Selena Orwin

Selena Orwin has studied with many of the world's leading bassoonists and conductors. She is Principal Bassoonist in the Christchurch Symphony, and has played with all the major New Zealand orchestras. She plays in numerous chamber ensembles, and teaches at the University of Canterbury and at the Pettman National Junior Academy of Music. She gained two diplomas at the Royal Academy of Music in London, in addition to her Master’s degree with Distinction in performance at Canterbury University. She has also been awarded Royal Academy's Honorary Diploma, reserved for past students who have achieved distinction in the profession.
